June 2013 Real Estate Market Watch

The real estate market in Sussex County, Delaware continues to rise at a steady pace.  Overall sales of single-family homes in the county have outpaced sales from the previous year through June, with 1,097 single-family homes sold, compared to 1,042 through June of 2012, a 5% increase.  In addition, the average sales price (+4%) and median sales price (+1%) are on the upswing. Inventory has been increasing month-by-month, but took a slight dip at month's end, with 2,565 homes on the market as of June 30, 2013, 1 2% decrease from last month.  The attached report details the sales of single-family homes in Sussex County for the month ending June 2013.
