Local Red Cross appoints Hutton as chairman of board

The American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula has announced that Mark R. Hutton Jr. is its new chairman of the board. Lisa Detwiler will serve as its new vice chair.

Hutton, an administrative vice president at M & T Bank, has been a volunteer with the American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula for the last decade. During his tenure, Hutton has served as treasurer of the board, chair of the Financial Development Committee and chair of the annual Wine, Dine, & Stein fundraiser.

In his new role, Hutton is responsible for coordinating and engaging the board of directors in advising and supporting the work of the American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula.

Detwiler is the chief operating officer for SSD Technology Partners and she has been a volunteer board member of the American Red Cross Delmarva Peninsula chapter for five years. In that time, she has served as the secretary of the board, chair of the Financial Development Committee and was a member of the planning committee for the Black Tie Monopoly and Wine, Dine, and Deal fundraisers. In her new role, Detwiler is responsible for working with the chairman of the board and the board of directors to advise and support the work of the American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula.
