Kinfolk to hold Eighth Annual Wine Tasting & Art Auction July 17

Event will provide laptops for hospitalized kids

Kinfolk, an organization which provides laptop computers and internet access to children who are hospitalized or homebound, will hold its Eighth Annual Wine Tasting & Art Auction starting at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, at The Cordrey Center, 30366 Cordrey Rd, near Millsboro.

The evening features live and silent auctions of art, jewelry, vacations and more as well as wine tastings and hors d’oeuvres, all for the bargain price of $30.

Among those donating art this year are Abraxas, Kevin Fleming, Ellen Rice, Ruth Valva, Marvin Carney and Nancy Katz. Longtime supporter Holland Jewelers has donated a ladies' ruby and diamond ring. In addition, the auction will include a one-week -stay in a condo on Lewes Beach. There will also be a varied selection of silent auction items from local merchants.

A selection of domestic wines chosen by Teller Wines will be available as attendees browse auction items. The following restaurants will contribute signature appetizers this year to create a selection of finger foods: 1776 Steakhouse, Annabella's Italian Restaurant & Bakery, Bethany Blues, Big Fish Market, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Cultured Pearl, Edible Arrangements, Fish On, Fractured Prune, Frank & Louie's Italian Specialties, Go Fish, Hooked Seafood & Martini Bar, JD Shuckers Seafood & Raw Bar, Mariachi's, Old Bay Steak & Seafood, Starboard, The Greene Turtle, Rehoboth Ale House, and The Point Coffee House & Bake Shoppe.
