Travel planner to talk Disney vacations July 16 at Ellen Rice Gallery

July 13, 2013

Disney-certified, Glass Slipper Concierge travel planner Duane Whitman will give free talks and travel planning tips in "Disney: When To Go and What To Do When You Get There" Tuesday, July 16, hourly from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at The Ellen Rice Gallery in Ocean View.

"I know at the height of summer, few are planning anything beyond the beach, but now is the ideal time to plan your Disney vacation," says Whitman. "What you want to do at Walt Disney World, Disneyland and on the Disney Cruise Line often has a strong bearing on the best time for you to visit. Everyone has priorities. For some, it's vacationing around their children's or grandchildren's school breaks. For others, it's going during specific holidays or in the least crowded times.

"This is what I'll be talking about on Tuesday. Everyone is invited to come, listen, get a free consultation and pick up a selection of free literature and DVDs."

Whitman, the manager of the Ellen Rice Gallery, has been an avid Disney fan all his life, visited Walt Disney World more than 30 times, sailed on the Disney Cruise Line numerous times and has been planning custom itineraries for families visiting Walt Disney World since 1972.

He joined Glass Slipper Concierge, a Disney-specialized, authorized, travel concierge service that offers meticulously planned Disney vacations, last summer.

Whitman specializes in selecting and reserving the best resorts, park tickets and dining plans to meet specific needs and desires and beyond those basics offers free, customized “concierge” itinerary planning, complete with free one-on-one, on-call help during vacations if desired. He also offers fee-based, personally guided tours at Walt Disney World.

Light refreshments, Disney music and door prizes will round out the day at the gallery.

The Ellen Rice Gallery is located at 103 Atlantic Ave., Ocean View, in the west end of the old Country Wicker Building, 2.2 miles west of the Bethany Beach totem pole on Route 26. For more information, call Whitman at 302-448-1534 or the gallery at 302-539-5963.
