The Upper Crust at 7 East Market St. in Georgetown is exhibiting works by paint toss artist Kathy Flament Griffin of Rehoboth Beach through Saturday, Aug. 10.
A Meet the Artist reception will take place from from 12:30 to 2 p.m., Thursday, July 25. Light refreshments will be served.
Flament has always loved colors and shapes and intersecting lines in nature. Nature and self-discovery are inspirations for her art. She uses house paint and canvas or newsprint to express, resolve and manage her feelings. “Pure joy comes out a lot,” she says. Her canvases can be as large as 9 by 12 feet.
Flament is a member of the Art League of Ocean City, the Rehoboth Art League and the Main Street Gallery in Cambridge, Md. Currently she has works at the Rehoboth Art League and a number of places in Maryland.
See more of her work at www.painttoss.com and on Facebook under Paint Toss.
The Upper Crust serves made-from-scratch baked goods, fair trade organic coffee, breakfast and lunch in a casual setting.
Local artists can contact Bruce at bruce@theuppercrust.info or 302-856-2300 to schedule a time to stop in with images of work for approval and to possibly schedule an exhibit date.
