America’s Great Loop presentation at Lewes Public Library Aug. 22

July 28, 2013

In 2002-03, Dave and Mary Bernheisel completed a more than 6,000-mile boat trip known as America’s Great Loop.

The public is invited to learn about their adventures on a trip that circumnavigated the eastern half of the United States. The talk is scheduled for 4 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 22, at the Lewes Public Library.

This program is the third of three special programs presented as part of the Groundbreaking Reads Adult Summer Reading Program that began June 1 and ends Aug. 16. Participants are asked to read and review books and attend library programs throughout the summer to earn prizes such as books, T-shirts and reading logs.

At the end of the summer there will be drawings for larger prizes donated by local businesses, including gift cards from Arena’s, Baker’s Exxon, Victoria’s and more.

For more information about this and other library programs, call 302-645-2733 or go to www.leweslibrary.org.
