The Bullbuckers to play at Lewes Canalfront Park Aug. 9

August 1, 2013

The Bullbuckers, an energetic, crowd-pleasing band who had the audience on its feet last year, will be returning to Lewes Canalfront Park for a 6:30 p.m. performance Friday, Aug. 9. The Bullbuckers play a fusion of music, blending soul, reggae, ska and rock, with New Orleans horn arrangements.

Known for their musicianship, the group has played with many internationally renowned performers, including Jimmy Cliff, The Wailers and Trombone Shorty. In 2012, WSTW radio named The Bullbuckers the best band, best live act and best horn section among local groups in the Delaware Valley. Bring a chair or blanket and even a picnic dinner for an enjoyable, entertaining evening. This event is free and made possible through the support of Friends of Lewes Canalfront Park and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery.

Lewes Canalfront Park comprises nearly three acres and is on Front Street in downtown Lewes on the banks of the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal.  It is the site of many popular free summer events, including additional Concerts by the Canal, Cinema by the Canal, weekly yoga and weekly Zumba. These programs and the park itself are a direct result of past and ongoing support of Friends of the Lewes Canalfront Park who support the programs of the park while the City of Lewes provides maintenance. The Friends organization welcomes new members and volunteers.
