CPA firm offers consulting, bookkeeping, tax advice
August 8, 2013

Faw Casson recently opened its third office on the Delmarva Peninsula, offering tax service and entrepreneurial and small-business consulting to a growing business community.

With 11 partners and offices in Dover and Ocean City, managing partner Lisa Hastings said the firm saw a growing clientele in the Cape Region and opened an office on Bay Vista Road to better serve them.

"We are seeing business is doing better in that particular market," Hastings said. "The businesses that have survived the last few years are smarter about their business. They've had to make tough decisions the past few years."

By offering the business consultation and bookkeeping services at a more convenient location, she said she hopes to help current clients build their business and attract new clients with their hands-on approach.

"We work closely with our clients all year long, which is different from a traditional CPA firm," Hastings said. "By staying in touch, we can help them make their business decisions all year long."

Manager Alison Houck said by staying in touch electronically, Faw Casson provides fast, efficient service and because the firm was established in 1944, they have developed a team of professionals with different specialties from tax preparation to entrepreneurial consulting.

"We provide full-service bookkeeping, payroll tax plans and consultation as well as tax compliance," Houck said. "A lot of our clients are starting to grow again, and we are helping them with tax plans for showing a profit."

The new office opening attracted dignitaries including Sen. Ernie Lopez, R-Lewes, who said the new business consulting office is a positive sign for the district.

"I like to be there anytime I have the opportunity to support a new business in this district," Lopez said. "I'm proud of this district as being an economic driver for the state."

The new offices of Faw Casson are located at 20245 Bay Vista Road, Rehoboth Beach. For more information call 302-674-4305.
