The series of events kicks off Thursday, Sept. 5, with the Fourth Annual Smile for Freedom 5K Run and 3K Walk.
Friday, Sept. 6 is the 2nd Annual Operation Giveback, where armed forces veterans and current military will be honored. There will be an opening ceremonies parade at 5 p.m., and activities continue until 9. The evening will conclude with fireworks.
On Saturday the festival runs from 9 a.m. until 1 a.m. on Sunday. Activities include 100 vendors; BK Party Rentals Inflatable Zone; a Kids Korner with a dunk tank, petting zoo, pony rides, shows and games; a First Responders Tug of War at 11 a.m.; the first ever Burgers-N-Beans Burger Eating Contest at noon in Bicentennial Park; the popular Duck Dash at 2 p.m.; free paddleboat rides; Southern Delaware Street Rods Car Show and more.
