Master plan for Dewey Beach needed

August 8, 2013

Seven metered and unmetered center line parking areas will be built on the west -bayside of Dewey Beach. There are no center line parking areas designed on the east-oceanside of Dewey Beach! Beachgoers need parking on the ocean-east side of Dewey Beach, not the west side.  Living on Read Street west-bay side, there is simply no need for extra parking here. Not even on weekends.  Beach goers, families, seniors and the disabled will have to park further away, cross busy Route One on foot. This may create safety problems!

We need an environmental impact study for "Monigle Park" at the west end of Read Street. Money is needed for flood mitigation and sewer cleaning. I am insulted by the lack of judgment by Dewey Beach.
