Seining the Bay at Cape Henlopen State Park offered through Aug. 22

August 6, 2013

Summer wouldn’t be complete without catching a crab or picking up a fish, and a great way to do it is during Cape Henlopen State Park’s Seining the Bay program. This family-friendly activity will be offered every Wednesday and Thursday through Aug. 22 at 9 a.m. at the Seaside Nature Center. The program costs $5 per person, and is recommended for ages 5 and up with a paying adult.

Attendees should dress to get wet and wear secure footwear - no flip-flops - to help collect sea creatures with a seining net.

There is no pre-registration; instead, tickets will be available for sale on a first-come, first served basis at the nature center starting at 9 a.m. the day of the program, with a maximum of six tickets per person. More information is available by calling 302-645-6852.

The Seaside Nature Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the Borrow-A-Bike program is available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.
