Rehoboth Museum Beach Ball a grand affair

August 11, 2013

This past weekend, the Rehoboth Beach Historical Society held its eighth annual Beach Ball.  The funds raised by this event will be used for exhibits, educational programming and to supplement the Rehoboth Beach Museum’s operating budget.

This event would not be possible without the overwhelming generosity of our local community.  I would like to thank our many local sponsors as well as our silent and live auction donors for being so supportive and generous during these difficult economic times.  Additionally, I would like to thank the over 250 members of our community who attended and enjoyed the event Saturday evening.

Last but not least, I would to like to thank all of the Beach Ball Committee members and its co-chairs, Valerie Evans and Anne Michele Kuhns, for their efforts in making this occasion such a wonderful annual event. The endless hours put in by all of the members of the committee were so important to its success. This event is invaluable to the museum’s continuous operation and this amazing group of individuals continues to give so much to enhance our community’s history.

If you haven’t had a chance to visit this summer’s exhibit “Beach Eats,” please stop into the museum and see what everyone is talking about.
