Local caregiver awarded Angel of the Month for July

Visiting Angels rewards Julianna Willette for exemplary service
August 14, 2013

Visiting Angels has given Julianna Willette of Milford its Employee Angel of the Month Award for July.

The home care company provides services to help seniors and disabled adults remain independent and in their own homes for a better quality of life.

Willette, one of Visiting Angels' youngest employees at 23, has been working as a caregiver since age 17. She earned her Certified Nursing Assistant license as an 18-year-old working at Heritage at Milford, where she met and worked with Trisa Lewes, Visiting Angels' office manager, who was then the food service director at the assisted living facility.

Willette has extensive experience caring for people suffering from Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, stroke and other diseases requiring full hands-on personal care.

David Forman, president of Visiting Angels, said, “Julianna came highly recommended by Trisa and quickly became one of our most requested caregivers."

Julianna is one of more than 70 Visiting Angels employees throughout Sussex County who assist with hygiene, light housekeeping including laundry and linens, preparing meals, running errands, and providing companionship in the home and on errands and appointments with their care recipients.

Visiting Angels rewards employees based on their customer care and willingness to step in to meet the agency’s needs, even on short notice.

“We’re pleased to have Julianna as one of our very best employees,” said Forman. “Our angels are the face and image of our company, and we only employ those who we would trust with our own families.”
