Keenote Kids summer camp comes to an end

Meet and greet picnic set Aug. 21
August 21, 2013

The Keenote summer musikamps ended with an Under the Sea theme. All the kampers learned about fish, sharks, whales, jellyfish, shells and beachy stuff through songs, dances and crafts. They performed for their family and friends.

The Y.A.K. Kamp ended Aug. 1 with yoga, arts and crafts, a new summer kamp this year for first-graders and up. Yoga is an important activity for all ages for balance, breathing, focus and awareness. Crafts included beaded shirts and yoga beaded candles, kitchen no-bake foods and measuring and tie-dye fleece blankets, pillows and tie-dye shirts.

The annual meet and greet picnic for the Keenote Chorale is set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 21, at the studio in Lincoln. Anyone interested in singing with a performing youth a capella chorus of kids is welcome.

Kindergarten-aged children and up through high schoolers  meet once a week in Lincoln and the Feed Company in the Milton/Lewes area. The chorus performs at local events and a variety of special locations in Sussex County and sometimes Kent County.

For more information on the chorale or other music classes for babies, tots and preschoolers, call Debbie Kee, 302-422-0222, or go to keenotemusic.com.
