Lewes' Sara Ann Garrison and her band Insane Courage reach No. 1 on VRadioNashville

Performances set in Bethany, Dewey
August 20, 2013

Insane Courage, the hot teen band from Delaware, consisting of Sara Ann Garrison, a ninth grader at Cape Henlopen High School, along with (l-r) Landon Jones, Sammy Price and Parker Sard, all ninth graders at Lake Forest High School made it to No. 1 with their original hit song “Cowboy Up” after three weeks on the VRadioNashville weekly top 40 countdown.

Was it fate that the foursome met at the Delaware State Fair Youth Talent Competition July 22, 2012, only to return 366 days later to perform at the 2013 Delaware State Fair on the very same stage?

This time they met Mick and Lacey Jay Womack of VRadioNashville, who became instant fans of this young country rock band. They took the band’s music back to Nashville with them and put them on rotation. The first week the band was on the station, they reached No. 19, and two weeks later they reached No. 1.

Hear the band locally Sunday, Aug. 25, at Turquoise at Sea Colony Market Place in Bethany Beach, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and Tuesday, Aug. 20, where they will play at the Rusty Rudder in Dewey from 8 to 9 p.m. on the deck.
