Betty Ann Peters, Beebe nurse

Betty Ann Peters, 62, of Lewes, passed away at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes Tuesday, July 30, 2013.

She was born March 23, 1951 in Chester, Pa. to the late James and Anna Thornton. She had worked as a secretary in one of Beebe’s outpatient centers. She loved scrapbooking, knitting, making afghans, was an animal lover, and loved networking. She was good at crafts, and she loved the beach.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her brother, James; and her uncle Ed Blome. She is survived by a niece: Lorie Thornton, of Mineral Va.; a nephew, James Thornton of Louisa, Va.; her uncle Eugene and aunt Jean Blome, and their daughter, Dorothy. She is also survived by many special friends in Delaware and Pennsylvania. Also, she leaves behind her dear canine friend, Abby.
