Brandywine Senior Living at Seaside Pointe in Rehoboth is preparing to celebrate National Assisted Living Week Sept. 8-14. This year's theme is Homemade Happiness, so residents of the community are creating a homemade quilt.
Each square of the quilt represents an individual resident and symbolizes what makes that resident happy. The 105 squares will be fitted together into a beautiful quilt to be unveiled on Grandparents Day, Sept 8.
Visitors are invited to stop in anytime during the week of Sept. 8 through 14 to see the quilt.
Care Manager Stephanie Baranowski, left, is shown assisting resident Connie Slack in creating her quilt square.
