KINfolk thanks Cape Region businesses

September 12, 2013

On behalf of the KINfolk Board of Directors, volunteers, staff and most importantly the children that we serve, we would like to thank the Sussex community for generously supporting KINfolk’s Eighth Annual Wine Tasting and Art Auction that was held at The Cordrey Center in Millsboro July 18. Together we raised over $15,000. We could not have had such a magnificent event without the support of the artists and merchants who donated to our silent and live auctions and to the people who came to enjoy the evening and support KINfolk!!

Special thanks to our sponsors: Delmarva Broadcasting, Jane Brady, Grotto Pizza, Prudential Gallo Realty, Holt Paper, Community Bank of Delaware, George Bunting Jr., Jack Lingo Realtors, Lewes Realty, Colliers Trim Shop, Hugh and Kathleen Leahy, Erin Martin-RE/MAX, Cape Suites and Penn-Del Lock.

We also appreciate the generosity of our local restaurants for donating a delicious selection of finger foods: 1776 Steakhouse, Annabella’s Italian Restaurant, Bethany Blues, Creative Crumbs, Cultured Pearl, Big Fish Market, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Fish On, Edible Arrangements, Frank & Louie’s Italian Specialties, The Point Coffee House, Go Fish, JD Shuckers Seafood & Raw Bar, Mariachi’s, Rehoboth Ale House, Summer House, Delaware Distilling Co., Starboard, Fractured Prune, The Green Turtle, and Give Me Some Sugar.

KINfolk would also like to thank all of the fabulous volunteers for their commitment to helping us achieve a successful event including auctioneer Dave Wilson, and our celebrity pourers: Kevin Fleming, Marvin Carney, Becky Carney, Pat Campbell-White, Tony Mongello, and Chris Weeks. (A job well done).

And a big thanks to Teller Wines for the fabulous wine selection they provided this year!

Community support of KINfolk's Laptop Lending Program for hospitalized and homebound children will ensure that we can continue putting laptops on the laps and smiles on the faces of deserving children. KINfolk provide a means of communication with friends, family, clergy and teachers - the very people who love and support them at a time when they need it most. Thank you again for your support,

The KINfolk Family
