Poultry damages environmental assets

September 13, 2013

Beverly Fink's Sept. 6 letter made my heart sing!  Ms. Fink rightfully calls out Senator Hocker and Representative Atkins for their "naïve or delusional" comments in support of the proposed large poultry-processing plant on the Indian River.

It's time Delaware freed itself from the grip of the poultry industry, with its resulting environmental devastation.  Political leaders should instead start envisioning - and supporting - a truly sustainable future for our state.
