Cape JV football scores 27-0 win over Smyrna
Sophomore Michael Hopkins caught three touchdowns and Rasheed Woods ran for another as the JV Vikings shut out the Eagles 26-0 in the opening game of the 2013 season.
Quarterback Hank Coveleski hit Hopkins for two TDs, and running back Quincy Duckworth hit him on another. Woods added a PAT to complete the scoring.
Quincy Duckworth had eight tackles in the game.
The JV Vikings next host Delmar Monday, Sept.16.

He won a photography award from the National Newspaper Association, and numerous awards from the Maryland, Delaware, D.C. Press Association. A Delaware native, Dan graduated from Cape in 1972 and returned as a teacher and coach in the 1980s. He retired from the classroom in 2016. He was inducted into Cape High’s Legends Stadium in 2016. In his spare time, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons, grandchildren and dogs.
