Thanks for joining vigil against Syria intervention

September 15, 2013

I would like to thank everyone who took the time to stand in the Sept. 9th vigil against military intervention in Syria. I urge all of us who are opposed to yet another military venture in the middle east to continue to call, email, and write our political representatives, asking them to vote no to authorization for the use of military force.

The recent diplomatic developments and the actions of Russia are hopeful, but I would hate to see these become just another 'red line' in an on-going effort by the US to justify military intervention.

Once again, thanks to all of the folks who made the effort to come to Lewes for an hour on Monday evening to stand up in support of a non-violent and just foreign policy.
