Heritage at Milford hosts Cup Cake Wars

Tommy Todd, maintenance director, and Dorothy Green won the Best Appearance Award for their Pets cupcakes.
Jeanne DeShaies and Roberta Lyons, assistant director of nursing, smile with their floral-themed cupcakes, which won best taste.
Comparing their notes are judges Chef Andrew Hooven, pastry chef at Abbott's Grill; Sharon Hepford, past president of Mispillion Art League; Ruth Rogers, and Milford Mayor "Ronnie" Rogers.
The residents and staff at Heritage at Milford held the Second Annual Cup Cake War Sept. 12 at the assisted living residence. The teams mixed staff members into four two-person teams and thematically decorated cupcakes. This was just one of the many activities that took place at Heritage during National Assisted Living Week. Local judges came in to award contestants in several categories. They were judged in Most Creative, Best Appearance, Best Theme and Best Taste.
