The Cape Henlopen freshman football team traveled to Ravens territory Sept. 18 and left the nest with a 25-6 victory over Sussex Tech to remain undefeated at 2-0 on the young season.
Erik Stancofski ran for 100 yards and played a stellar defense for the Vikings. Three touchdowns were scored by Terrique Riddick while Robbie Neal added the fourth. Richard Carey added a PAT. Quarterback Dillon Adams played a good game under center.
On the defensive side of the ball, Raiquan Mosley and Cory Lawson each had two sacks on the day. The coaches were quick to praise the play of Akilles Hobson, Dontrae Flowers, Tommy Heffernan, Jerry Harden, Keith Mumford, Cory Lawson, Dante Jacquet, Nyjal Drayton, Jermaine Willis and Josh Fonville for holding the Ravens to just six points.
The freshman Vikings will host Lake Forest Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 4 p.m.
