Cadbury at Lewes celebrates National Assisted Living Week

September 28, 2013

The Tides at Cadbury kicked off National Assisted Living Week Sept. 8-14 with a little homemade happiness. Martin Masisak, a chef from Touch of Italy’s newest restaurant on Coastal Highway, performed a cooking demonstration for the assisted living residents and staff. This was followed by a sampling of delicious pastries from Touch of Italy’s bakery.

The fun continued with The Young at Heart Carnival and Car Show on the Cadbury at Lewes Campus. The event included antique cars, caricaturist, clown, games, food, and prizes.  There was also a special guest appearance from Coco, a beautiful harlequin macaw.

The celebration wrapped up with a Healthy Happy Hour featuring a variety of food tastings from Root Gourmet.

Cadbury at Lewes, a not-for-profit retirement community, is managed by Cadbury Senior Services, experienced providers of continuing care retirement services. Cadbury offers seniors independence, safety, financial security and access to all levels of healthcare. The Tides Assisted Living Community features private or semiprivate apartments, delicious meals, and compassionate care with services such as bathing, dressing or medication administration.
