September 23, 2013

Lyn C. Freiman, affectionately known as “Rocky,” passed away at the age of 54 Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at her residence in Rehoboth Beach. She was born Feb. 17, 1959, in Okinawa, Japan, daughter of the late Emanuel Freiman and Mary Lou (Kelley) Shaw.

Lyn moved to Rehoboth Beach 11 years ago from Baltimore, Md. She would start her own restaurant called “DISH!” that she operated for many years. In Lyn’s free time away from work she enjoyed traveling, riding her motorcycle, cooking, and most of all entertaining.

Everyone loved to join Lyn for not just her excellent cooking but, her sense of humor that would make anyone’s stomach hurt from laughing so hard. Lyn was a sweet and loving person who instantly considered everyone a friend and made you feel welcome. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Lyn is survived by her loving family: Lisa Scholl, Rob Saunders, Brittany Saunders, and Robbi Saunders, as well as her loving cat, Kieffer and her dog, Gunther.

A Celebration of Lyn’s Life will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, at 12:30 p.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes, where friends may visit beginning at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
