Kody's Kids receives 18,000 donated diapers

October 6, 2013

Kody's Kids Inc., a Sussex County-based charity that works with babies and children at risk, received a gift of 18,000 diapers from the Lunch With A Purpose group. The group includes more than 200 local women who meet each month to have lunch at a local restaurant and raise awareness and funds for Sussex County charities.

At the last luncheon, each person was asked to bring disposable diapers for the Kody's Kids Diaper Program. Charity founder Philip Brown said he was amazed by the generosity of the group. Everybody was coming up the pathway to the Baywood Restaurant carrying packs, boxes and bags of diapers.

"It was so heartwarming to see," said Brown. "We give many thanks to the group leader, Cheryl Mitchell, and all those who attended." He is shown with a portion of the donated diapers.
