Fourth St. Jude Kids motorcycle ride rescheduled for Oct. 27

Cat Country 97.5 sponsors event to benefit cancer research hospital
October 16, 2013

The 4th Annual Cat Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Motorcycle Ride, presented by Custom Mechanical and Geico, will take place Sunday, Oct. 27, starting at the White Marlin Mall in Ocean City, Md.

Registration begins at 10 a.m., and the ride goes “kickstands up” at 11:30. After a scenic ride from Ocean City, Md., to Rehoboth Beach with a pit-stop/water break at Hocker's Supercenter in Clarksville, the festivities continue at Delaware Distilling Company on Route 1 in Rehoboth Beach, where there will be lunch, 50/50 drawing, raffles, and more.

All proceeds from the event benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., the world’s leading facility in dealing with childhood cancer. The hospital turns no child away, regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Currently, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital spends more than $1.4 million per day to operate the facility. Some of the world’s best and brightest doctors and researchers in the field of childhood cancer work with and for St. Jude.

Registration for the ride is $25 per bike, and $5 per additional rider. To preregister, visit www.catcountryradio.com. The first 200 riders will receive an event T-shirt. All riders have a chance to win the Grand Door Prize of a stay at the beautiful Clarion Fontainebleau Hotel in Ocean City.

Additional sponsors include Larry's Trading Post, the Bonfire Restaurant, Value Carpet One, The Centre at Salisbury, Roto-Rooter, Lucky Surf Shop, Healing Touch of Maryland, Wockenfuss, Laptop & Computer Solutions, and the Robinson's Family of Businesses.
