Meet new faculty at Involution Yoga Open House Oct. 27

October 12, 2013

Story Location:
Lewes, DE
United States

It’s been a year of success and dreams realized for Involution Yoga. Motivated by her personal experience and love of Ashtanga yoga, Kate Fitzgerald opened Involution Yoga in July 2012 at 19413 Jingle Shell Way in Lewes off Route 1, just south of the Nassau Bridge.

Fitzgerald partnered with Silver Lotus Training Institute, certified by the Yoga Alliance, for a teacher training program in Svadhyaya Yoga, a form of classical yoga that specializes in individual instruction to meet the particular needs of each student in the class. Many who participated in the four-month training were already students at the studio who had expressed interest in teaching or simply learning more about yoga and deepening their own practice.

Upon completion of the program, six new instructors have joined Fitzgerald as part of the teaching staff at Involution Yoga. In year two, she is manifesting her goal to better serve the community with more diverse classes. The mission of Involution Yoga is to offer a fun and safe environment for students to realize their true nature through the self-healing practice of yoga, guided by well-trained and certified teachers.

While continuing to offer Ashtanga yoga classes, the fall class schedule will include men’s yoga, Yoga Foundations - a class for beginners or those who want to sharpen their skills - strength and balance, vinyasa, and restorative, as well as a kids' class, chair yoga, beginning tai chi, and meditation.

The public is invited to stop by between 1 and 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27, to meet the new instructors at the Involution Yoga Open House. Instructors will be available to discuss programs offered. There will also be free mini-classes on the half-hour to help students determine what form of yoga is best suited to their needs. Special discounts on packages will be offered during the Open House.
