Dewey Beach Scooter Nation holds ride for Surfrider Foundation

In its sixth year, the annual Scooter Charity Ride toured the Cape Region, visiting local businesses that support the group year round.

Five stops, including Hammerheads Dockside, Beachcomber Restaurant & Club, Bethany Blues Lewes, Big Chill Cantina, Shorebreak Lodge and Hammerheads Dewey Beach all provided restaurant specials for the riders.

A donation of $20 per rider collected $1,700 this year. Several local businesses donated products, services, gift cards and clothing to be raffled off at the end of the ride. All proceeds go to the local Surfrider Foundation Delaware Chapter.
