Work underway to build new Lewes Station 2

October 17, 2013

Demolition of the 25-year-old Lewes Fire Department Station 2 in Nassau started recently. In its place, a new, two-story building will be constructed with six engine bays, bunk rooms and storage areas on the first floor and a large meeting room, offices and kitchen on the second floor. Work is expected to take a year; the fire department will use an adjacent building during that time.
