Milford Chamber to host Holiday Auction & Tastes of Milford Nov. 21
The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford hosted the first Holiday Auction & Tastes of Milford in 2007, and this year’s committee is looking forward to another wonderful event. Thursday, Nov. 21, the chamber will be celebrating the seventh anniversary with co-beneficiary The Mispillion Art League.
The event will take place again at the Rookery North at 6152 S. Rehoboth Blvd., Milford. Event tickets are $20 in advance, and if there are any left, $25 at the door. The doors open at 6 p.m. and the event usually runs until around 9 p.m.
Auctioneer Dave Wilson will be back for the seventh time, helping up the bids at the live auction.
They are currently accepting silent and live action donation items starting at minimum value of $25. Expect more than 100 silent auction items and up to 20 live auction items.
Tastes of Chairperson Barbara Steele has confirmed 15 local restaurants and caterers to participate this year, offering tastes from businesses in the greater Milford area. Steele says, “There’s always plenty of food to fill the belly while checking out the auction items.”
The committee is also seeking sponsors to join BK Rentals, i.g.Burton and Chicks in Harrington. Several sponsorships are available ranging from the $1,000 corporate level, to friend of the chamber at $50. Many of the sponsorships include tickets to the event.
This event is open to the public, and the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford and The Mispillion Art League welcome all to Milford.
