Beebe to host Habitat tool drive Oct. 21-25

October 16, 2013

Beebe continues to support the Healthier Sussex County initiative by partnering with Sussex County Habitat for Humanity to build two houses in Georgetown. This month, Beebe Medical Center is working with Habitat to collect a variety of tools for the nonprofit organization.

Beebe hopes its staff, employees and the public participate in the tool drive, which will be held Monday to Friday, Oct. 21-25. A collection bin will be in the lobby by the patient pick-up traffic circle, near the Emergency Department, at the medical center in Lewes.

All are invited to walk in and drop off donations. As part of the tool drive, Habitat is also accepting Lowe’s gift cards.

Approved tools include 3M dust mask (N95 rating), box cutters and blades, carpenter pencils, caulk (white), chalk line, cleaning supplies, contractor trash bags, drill bit sets, duct tape, ear plugs, i4618 FireX Smoke Detectors, framing hammers, first aid supplies, paint supplies, ratchet straps, safety glasses, sanding blocks, slotted and Phillips screwdrivers, stainless steel screen doors and storm doors, tape measures for 25 or 35 feet and work gloves.
