Children’s Fantasy Trail at Cape Henlopen State Park set Oct. 25-27

Volunteers still needed for characters and pumpkin carving

The silver anniversary of the Children’s Fantasy Trail will welcome trick or treaters and friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Friday to Sunday, Oct. 25-27.  Friday and Saturday hours are 6 to 8:30 p.m.; Sunday hours are 6 to 7:30 p.m.  Entertainment is also provided each night under a tent and will include singing, juggling, magic, and more.

There is a $5 fee per person for adults and children. For more information on the Fantasy Trail, call the Seaside Nature Center at 302-645-6852.

Two free tickets for the Fantasy Trail will be given at Cool Not Creepy Creatures Saturday, Oct. 19. Call 302-645-6852 for information, or to pre-register.

The park staff is looking for volunteers to be characters or carve some of the many pumpkins that line the trail. Individuals, families, and groups are welcome! Call the volunteer coordinator at 302-644-5005 to sign up.

The Nature Center and the Borrow-A-Bike program will be closed Monday, Oct. 21 to Wed., Oct. 30, because of work with the Fantasy Trail.
