Amateur Radio & Electronics EXPO set Oct. 26 at Sussex Tech
Ham Radio operators and electronics enthusiasts will gather at Sussex Technical High School in Georgetown Saturday, Oct. 26, for the annual Amateur Radio & Electronics EXPO. The event, often referred to as a “Hamfest,” features vendors, equipment displays, demonstrations, and forums that focus on advances in technology and radio communications.
The EXPO will take place at Sussex Technical High School located at 17099 County Seat Highway, Route 9, west of Georgetown. The gates open at 6:30 a.m. for the flea market and doors to the EXPO open at 7:30 a.m.. Admission is $5.
Electronics hobbyists, CBers, boaters, and everyone who has an interest in communications and electronics are welcome to attend this yearly event. Electronics and audio equipment, accessories, parts, and related items will be offered for sale by several national companies and by vendors in the outdoor flea market.
Other scheduled highlights include a police K-9 demonstration, which has become one of the EXPO’s family highlights, free blood pressure screening provided by Beebe Medical Center, and free door prizes. Delmarva grilled chicken lunches will be available.
