Participants brave wind, rain to support Buddy Walk

This year's Seventh Annual Boardwalk Buddy Walk and Buddy Fest was held Oct. 12 in Rehoboth Beach. About a thousand people turned out for the event in spite of a nor'easter's wind and rain. Because of the weather, totals will hover around the $60,000 mark. Participants were prepared to walk no matter what the weather was.
Proceeds from the weekend's activities were donated to the Down Syndrome Association of Delaware, Best Buddies of Delaware, Special Olympics Delaware and other local organizations.
