Beacon field hockey beats Sussex Academy 4-0

October 17, 2013

The Beacon field hockey team is always good, mostly better; in fact they rarely lose a game.

Sussex Academy is also one of the better teams, with many of the players going on to high school to play at Sussex Tech or Cape, and now that the charter school is committed to including a high school one grade at a time starting with ninth grade this year, who knows where the talent will end up?

On Oct. 16 at Beacon, it was the Vikings who dominated action, scoring three goals in the first 15 minutes and going on to post a convincing 4-0 victory.

Marcella Sabbagh, Kaylie Truitt and Alia Marshall all scored first-half goals for Beacon. Annie Judge scored in the second half for Beacon.

Grace Lee made lots of miraculous diving saves for SA.

Beacon improves to 5-0 on the season and plays at Seaford Friday, Oct. 18.
