Pranay Sanwal earns honors in State of Maryland Chess Tournament

Sanwal won three out of five rounds in the Elementary Novice Division and was the sixth-place winner in the state championships. Sanwal said, “I was so happy when they announced my name and the name of my school.”

Last spring, Sanwal, the son of Dr. Vibha Sanwal and Dr. Pankaj Sanwal of Lewes, was the first-place winner in the Salisbury, Md. Chess Tournament.
