Dueling billionaires: Conservative vs.liberal

October 24, 2013

In her recent letter to the editor, Ms. Mullins asserted that: “the Tea Party in recent America is not a grassroots movement. It is funded by billionaires such as the Koch Brothers.” I would remind her that the Liberal/Socialist movement is funded by billionaire George Soros, among others, as well.

I guess that pretty much evens the score. Further, regarding her defense of Don Flood’s weekly column, I suggest that it is time for the Cape Gazette to offer an alternative columnist to Don Flood’s liberal leaning point of view. Other readers have expressed this wish as well.

In that the readership of the Gazette is demographically about even between conservative and liberal, it would behoove the paper to give serious consideration to this suggestion.
