Tea Party Patriots are not racist

October 29, 2013

It's well-known, at least to people who know their history, that after the Civil War, the Democratic Party formed the Ku Klux Klan to keep black Americans down after the Republican President Lincoln and the Congress abolished slavery.

I've been involved in the Tea Party movement in Delaware for almost five years now. We are the largest Tea Party movement group in Delaware with over 2,300 members in all three counties. Our members are black, white, Hispanic, American Indian, etc. We are Democrats (not the liberal ones), Republicans and Independents. We have never used the race card for or against anyone.

We are in a war of two opposing ideas, striving for and celebrating American exceptionalism vs a gimme-my-government-handout America. Are they so afraid of the Tea Party movement that they have to rely on fear and outright lies to stop us?

We don't like President Obama because of his policies.  We don't care what his race is; we detest his policies. Hang in there Tea Party Patriots. Though they slander us  with false accusations of racism, in reality, we are the last hope for America.
