Cape JV football stops two-point play, beats Sussex Tech Ravens 22-20

Vikings win battle of undefeated teams in crazy good game
October 31, 2013

The game was fast and physical, highlighted by big plays, strange laundry and stellar stops on defense. Cape's winning touchdown was made possible by a great second effort run by Kyle Colburn.

Learris Griffin reached across the goal line on a sneak for the touchdown, and Rahseed Woods, going down on the 4-yard line, somehow flew across the goal line for two points and a 22-14 Cape advantage.

The Ravens drove 70 yards, managed the clock and scored on the final play of the game to bring the score to 22-20.

A fullback up the middle was stopped short of the goal line  as Cape celebrated the heart-pounding victory.

Cape closes out the JV season Monday, Nov. 4, at Sussex Central.
