Possum Point Players to hold silent auction during Christmas show

Donated items sought now
November 2, 2013

Tickets are now on sale for Possum Point Players' upcoming Christmas show, "Christmas Belles," and their third annual silent auction. The show opens Friday, Dec. 6, and runs through Sunday, Dec. 15.

The auction will be held during the two Saturday shows, Dec. 7 and 14, of "Christmas Belles." Preview and pre-bidding nights will be Fridays, Dec. 6 and 13. These are two separate auctions with the highest bids being awarded each Saturday. Completely new items will be up for bid on the second weekend.

The organization is also looking for donations for the auction. Chairwoman Cat Baker is the contact for anyone able to make such a donation. Gift certificates, gift baskets, Christmas gifts and homemade crafts are some of the items she is looking for. People may email her at catbak@hotmail.com to make their donations or to ask questions about the auction.

"Christmas Belles" revolves around a church Christmas program which spins hilariously out of control in this Southern farce about squabbling sisters, family secrets, a surly Santa, a vengeful sheep and a reluctant Elvis impersonator.

Tickets at $23 ($22 for seniors and students) are available through the PPP website, www.possumpointplayers.org or by calling the PPP ticket line 302-856-4560.
