Thanks for help from Cape Gazette

November 7, 2013

Recently I inquired about an article that appeared in the Cape Gazette. Unfortunately, I had misplaced it and contacted the Gazette via email. Almost immediately I received a response from Molly MacMillan (a reporter on your staff).

The article referenced a traumatic brain injury group that had been set up by a family in the area that experienced this tragic event in their life.  Molly quickly forwarded my email to Mike Murray, who also responded immediately.  Although the group is geared to families of young traumatic brain-injured people he gave me the name of another organization in the area better suited for the age bracket needed for a friend.

My friend was elated to find out there is a support group in the area that may be able to support her emotional needs in dealing with a TBI patient.

I have to compliment all parties involved with my inquiry - it was resolved in a quick and efficient manner.

To submit a letter to the editor for publishing, send an email to viewpoints@capegazette.com. All letters are considered at the discretion of the newsroom and published as space allows. Only one letter per author will be published every 30 days regarding a particular topic. Authors may submit a second letter within that time period if it pertains to a different issue. Letters may not be critical of personalities or specific businesses. Criticism of public figures is permissible. Endorsement letters for political candidates are no longer accepted. Letters must be the author’s original work, and may not be generated by artificial intelligence tools.
