TS Smith and sons still producing

Charlie Smith is shown with his repeat-blooming strawberry plants that were being harvested into November. This weekend 9-4pm, they will be offering pick your own but with temperatures dropping near freezing, the plants will eventually stop producing fruit . SOURCE SUBMITTED

Farming is not just for the summer anymore. Many farms extend the growing season into the fall and early winter. Some vegetables such as kale and broccoli get sweeter as the temperatures dip.
