Board of directors for Women’s Golf Association announced

The outgoing and incoming board members of the Executive Women’s Golf Association Eastern Shore Chapter met Oct. 22 at the Quality Inn in Ocean City, Md., along with golf league captains. Leaders reviewed the past year and transitioned their roles for the upcoming year.

Nancy Dofflemyer, one of two original founders of the chapter, will step back into the lead role as president for the 2014 season. Other board members include Cheryl Sasser, member service director; Rosemarie Pomilla, member recruitment director; Ellen Davies; events and activities; Sharon Repass, golf programs and services director; Linda Truitt, finance and records director; Barbara Stitcher, marketing director; and Janet O’Brien, communications director.

The EWGA is a 300-member organization serving the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Delaware and Virginia to provide golf-related networking and social activities to women across the peninsula. Events include leagues, clinics and socials geared to all levels of play. The EWGA is also the sponsor of the Pink Ribbon Tournament raising funds and awareness for breast cancer.

To celebrate the holidays, the EWGA will be hosting a Holiday Party and Shoppers Fair Wednesday, Dec. 4 at Lighthouse Sound beginning at 6 p.m. Potential members are invited to attend. Anyone joining during this event at the classic level will receive a $20 discount on membership.
