Creation Conference at New Covenant Church Nov. 16 and 17

November 12, 2013

A Creation Conference will come to Lewes Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 16 and 17, at New Covenant Church, one block off Route 1 at 16796 Kings Highway.

Pastor Robert Dekker will introduce James Gardner, a regional expert with nearly 20 years of active engagement with current scientific findings and interaction with the academic interpretations linked to them. Using modern technology, plain logic, and real data, Gardner will address the hard questions regarding existence and sustainable life in this Answers in Genesis Conference.

Gardner will bring a compelling presentation using visuals and comedy to complement facts and biblical teaching. Topics range from DNA to dinosaurs, from the composition of a cell to the vastness of the universe.

Saturday evening sessions include a meal provided by Chik-fil-A; a session on Aliens, UFOs and Incredible Creatures, and Mysteries of Ancient Man.

Sunday morning will be a combined class for all ages: Dinosaurs and Dragons (Fact or Myth), followed by a worship service and sermon: Consequences of the Paths You Chose.

A video, “Evolution vs. God” is scheduled for Sunday at 4 p.m. followed by Fossils, the Grand Canyon and Global Flood. A Question of Biblical Authority - True or False? finishes the Sunday evening schedule.

To secure adequate materials, New Covenant is requesting advance registration through the web at www.ncpchurch.com or by calling the office 302-644-6800. No one will be turned away if room is available.

The host church is sponsoring the event, but will welcome financial assistance through a general love offering box.

The format of sessions is for both children and adults, but not for those who are unable or unwilling to think. Delmarva Christian High School is cosponsoring a special session on Monday morning for students in upper elementary school, middle school, and high school. Call DCHS at 302-856-4040 for more information.
