The Cape Henlopen High School Library is sponsoring a Scholastic Book Fair for the week of Dec. 2-6. This week was chosen because it will provide an opportunity for parents and students to purchase books for the holiday season.

The goal is to sell $3,000 in books. Go to and click on Cape Henlopen High School to find information about purchasing books online from Nov. 23 through Dec.12. This is a great way for friends and relatives to help the school and get books for all ages.

The purpose of the book fair is to support literacy and to encourage reading by creating a sense of excitement among the students. The proceeds or books earned by the book fair dollars will be used to contribute to the new Nook Book Club for ebooks.

Any parent who is able to help with book sales should contact the librarian, Suzanne McKone, by email at Any teachers who wish to participate in the book fair during the school day may schedule a time to come to the rotunda.
