Dewey Goes Pink raises $46K for breast cancer coalition

Starboard owner Steve Montgomery hands a $46,000 check to representatives of Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, Nov. 19.

The money was raised from The Starboard's annual Dewey Goes Pink 5K, which drew more than 1,600 participants Oct. 5.

Montgomery and Body Shop Fitness Center Owner Adam Howard, founded the race in 2011. Montgomery lost his mother, Barbara "Gugie" Montgomery,  to breast cancer two years ago, after a 25-year battle with the disease. Howard's mother is currently fighting breast cancer.
