November 20, 2013

When it comes to feeding hungry children in Southern Delaware, the Harry K Foundation has taken on a huge responsibility. The founder, Harry Keswani, wants to eliminate childhood hunger in Sussex County and make sure that no children are going to bed hungry. To these ends, the foundation is throwing a lavish Christmas Ball where Keswani is urging the community to come out and support his worthy cause.

Tickets have been selling fast for the cornerstone event of the foundation, and this weekend will be the public’s last chance to purchase tickets for the upcoming Christmas Ball which takes place Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club.

At the inception of the foundation, Keswani organized a stellar planning committee that has not only been planning the ball alongside him, but also been working to obtain sponsors, as well as inviting special guests to the Christmas Ball. The group has been hard at work since August planning the meticulous details for the evening’s events, including the silent and live auctions, decor and menu.

The evening promises to be memorable and luxurious; guests will have the opportunity to mingle with attendees of note such as Sen. Ernie Lopez, Miss Delaware Rebecca Lee Jackson, Rep. Steve Smyk, and others. In addition, there will be a patriotic show of pomp and circumstance provided by the honor guard from Dover Air Force Base who will be providing a color guard as well as singing the national anthem to open the inaugural ball.

The Christmas Ball will have all the hallmarks of a fundraising ball, complete with silent and live auctions, including two exclusive jewelry pieces made by Keswani himself. Keswani has put together two one-of-a-kind, handmade diamond pieces, one necklace and one bracelet that will be the highlight of the of the auctions. Keswani is known for his impeccable jewelry construction and elegance.

Keswani hopes that the giving spirit of the holiday season will resonate with locals who want to make a difference in their community as they consider purchasing a ticket to the Christmas Ball. All proceeds will be going to help feed hungry children in the community, and keeping the fund within our community helps it do the most good. He urges people to come out, have a fabulous evening and help feed children who go to bed hungry regularly.
