Approximately 100 guests turned out at the Lewes Yacht Club Nov. 23 to support the Marine Education, Research and Rehabilitation Institute. About 40 volunteers helped behind the scenes to organize a silent auction and a live auction, which together raised $15,500.
MERR is Delaware's only authorized stranding response organization for marine mammals and sea turtles. To become a member, donate or volunteer, go to www.merrinstitute.org.
