Delaware Hospice holds Festival of Trees

December 10, 2013

Delaware Hospice held its Annual Sussex County Festival of Trees Nov. 22-24. The Holiday Gala kicked off the event on Friday with food and entertainment. The festival is made possible through the support of the community.

Hundreds of volunteers help organize and run the events; businesses and individuals sponsor trees and wreaths, which are decorated by artisans who donate their time and talent.

At the close of the festival, the trees and wreaths are delivered to the sponsor’s selected destination, which is often another nonprofit organization.

Delaware Hospice Board members and Delaware Hospice staff gathered in front of a few of the decorated trees for a photo. Shown are (l-r) Delaware Hospice Board of Trustees members Tom Hoyer and Ronda Douglas, Vice President of Development Manny Arencibia and Assistant Director of Development Peggy Dolby.
